This series invites you to spend Sunday afternoon with champagne, refreshments and some of Richmond’s finest musicians. Held in private homes. Four events will be held throughout the year, giving the audience an up-close and personal experience with orchestra ensembles while raising money at the same time!

A Mediterranean Evening At Dancing Point
Saturday, May 19, 2012
at the Mediterranean inspired villa of Wendy and Bill Sydnor overlooking the scenic James River near Charles City.
Long-time Symphony supporters, Marcia and Harry Thalhimer, will be honored.
Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with guests treated to gaily decorated pontoon boat rides followed with cocktails served on the terrace from 6-7 p.m., accompanied by strolling musicians playing European selections. Dinner, catered by Buon Amici of Williamsburg and Chef Brian Hines, will feature culinary specialties of the Mediterranean area. Well known Richmond pianist and Richmond Symphony orchestra member, Russel Willson, will entertain diners.

Symphony Designer House 2012

Every two years, the Richmond Symphony Orchestra League chooses a grand Richmond residence and lets a
pack of Richmond’s best designers loose inside.
This year, Pinifer Park, built in 1910 and located at
3312 Robious Crossing Drive in Midlothian,
will be transformed and on display in the fall.

Originally built as a summer home for the Edwin C. Laird family,
it became the Lairds' full-time residence when they
left their Park Avenue home in 1912. It’s a beautiful,
five-bedroom Queen Anne, and we can’t wait to see
how the designers envision it for the 21st century.

will give us 10% of sales made to RSOL members and their friends on non-antique and non-sale items. We will be e-mailing an ID you can bring with you when you shop. You can make extra copies for "friends" of RSOL.
